Use and Compliance Requirements
Because PAP therapy is only beneficial when used consistently, you must use your therapy device every night to achieve benefit from therapy.
Most health insurers require the following:
- 4 or more hours of use each day for 70% of a 30 day period (21 days per month minimally).
- An appointment with your physician for follow up between 31-90 days after starting PAP Therapy.
Track Your Therapy Journey
There is a website and app designed to help you personally track your journey with this new therapy. Once you enroll, you can view your personal therapy use, leak, AHI/events and mask fit. The site also has educational material specific to sleep apnea and PAP therapy, as well as use and troubleshooting tips. If you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to enroll and engage in your own therapy.

What You Can Expect from the Compliance Department at MSC Sleep
We are here to assist you in complying with PAP therapy. If you can’t fix a leak, or can’t seem to adapt to the pressure, please call our compliance department at 1-866-907-5337, so we can help get you on track.
Our compliance department attempts to monitor usage, and may reach out if we notice you struggling to meet compliance. Should you receive any live or automated messages from MSC SLEEP via phone call, text or email regarding your use or compliance issues, please call us, so we can assist you. Below is some more information about our follow-up process:
- For the first 30 days we will contact you every 3 days via your preferred method of contact (call, email or text) to share how you are progressing with your therapy.
- If you are meeting the compliance goals, notifications will stop after 30 days.
- If you are struggling to meet compliance goals, we will contact you once per week for the remainder of the trail period or until compliance is reached.
